Rod Tidwell Shield

Does anyone know who won it this year? Do we have to wait until the end of season presentation?

Mongo - Easter is pretty close, anything you wanted to let the kiddies know about the Easter Bunny?

New Canberra Team Velo Canberra

A new cycling team is soon to hit the roads around Canberra in the form of Team Velo Canberra. This wholly Canberra based team will initially be made up of 12 riders, 4 women and 8 men. The team has been created with the goal of providing a support structure that encourages teamwork while also seeking to promote the Canberra region and its sponsors (see mission statement)

The draft racing schedule for 2005 is predominantly NSW based with some of the bigger Victorian and Queensland events also on the agenda.

The official team launch is expected to be shortly before the Canberra Tour in April, although the team will head away to its first races in early April to compete in a series of events in Bathurst including the Bathurst Women's Tour.

The team line up for 2012 includes:

Men Women
Michael Tolhurst
Martin Mullin
Steve Blackburn
Allan Sieper
Steve Blair
Ben Darlington
Marcus Hayman
Fabio Calabria Judith May
Alison Wright
Bridget Ayling
Liz Hayman

Team Patron: Stephen Hodge
Massage/Support: Adam Forsdyke

The development of this team would not have been possible without the generous support of its fantastic sponsors:

Catalyst Interactive,
Elders Real Estate Belconnen,
Beess and Co. Cafe Yarralumla
and Conceptis .
So please get along to the team website and check out what Velo Canberra is all about and support your local team.
